Part-Time Store Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The associate also upholds operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards, and is cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store as business needs require. The position supports a positive store culture and customer experience, helps maintain cleanliness and recovery throughout the store, and responds to Front End coverage needs. Applicants should have strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills; be able to work a flexible schedule; and have the physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber. Lifting heavy objects may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation. Retail customer experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Role model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
