About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing routine cleaning throughout the store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss prevention standards; supports customer experience and store recovery; and is cross-trained to work in multiple areas as business needs require. The position is part-time and is located at Marshalls Store 0428 in Houston, Texas.

• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.

Responsibilities

• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
• Clean floors through dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, and vacuuming; dust and spot-clean glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Model customer experience practices and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
