Part Time Store Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating a scrubber and buffer; dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows; and maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss prevention standards and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models established customer experience practices, contributes to a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, and communicates effectively with management and colleagues. The role also supports Front End coverage, store recovery, merchandising and signage standards, safety awareness, and compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot-clean glass and windows.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Uphold the company merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink reduction.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Model established customer experience practices and support a positive store culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
