Store Cleaning Associate Part Time
About The Position
The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and completing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows. The associate follows operational, merchandise, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards and is cross-trained to support multiple areas of the store as business needs require. The associate helps provide a positive customer experience and contributes to a store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect. Responsibilities also include maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, responding to Front End coverage needs, communicating effectively with management and colleagues, and participating in safety awareness.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer.
- Dust mop, damp mop, sweep, vacuum, dust, and spot clean glass and windows.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Follow operational and loss-prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines and policies.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
