About The Position

The Store Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and safe store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning floors, glass, and windows, as well as maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store. Associates adhere to operational, merchandising, health and safety, and loss-prevention standards, and are cross-trained to support multiple store areas and Front End coverage needs. They model positive customer experiences and contribute to a store culture grounded in honesty, integrity, and respect.

Requirements

Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
Ability to multitask and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

Operate the scrubber and buffer and perform floor-care tasks, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
Cross-train in other store areas, such as the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, and support Front End coverage needs.
Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards and participate in store recovery as needed.
Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company policies, including shrink-reduction practices.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
