Early Morning Cleaning Associate
About The Position
The Cleaning Associate maintains a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor scrubbers and buffers and performing dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows. The associate follows operational, merchandise, loss prevention, health, and safety standards and is cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models customer experience practices, contributes to a positive store culture, maintains cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store, supports Front End coverage, and communicates effectively with management and coworkers. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to support business needs.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and operate a floor buffer and scrubber.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to respond appropriately to changing direction or unexpected situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including listening and responding appropriately.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Maintain floor care standards, including operating and maintaining the scrubber and buffer.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
- Follow company health and safety policies, including replenishing essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
- Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
- Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
- Follow merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Follow operational and loss prevention controls, including shrink-reduction guidelines.
- Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
- Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
