About The Position

Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. This role includes operating floor-care equipment and cleaning store spaces, while upholding operational, merchandise, loss-prevention, health and safety, and customer-experience standards. The associate is cross-trained to work in multiple store areas and supports business needs throughout the store.

Responsibilities

• Operate the scrubber and buffer and perform floor-care tasks, including dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot-cleaning glass and windows.
• Maintain floor-care cleanliness standards, including the maintenance and operation of the scrubber and buffer.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards throughout the store, including the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Follow company health and safety policies, including refilling essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor.
• Support and respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Model established customer-experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
• Follow operational and loss-prevention controls and company guidelines, including shrink-reduction practices.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break-period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
