About The Position

Apex Entertainment is hiring energetic, safety-focused, and guest-driven Go-Kart Marshalls at its Marlborough, Massachusetts location. The role helps create an enjoyable guest experience by maintaining a safe racing environment and providing strong customer service. Marshalls oversee guest preparation and participation, inspect and monitor equipment, operate race controls, supervise assigned track areas, and respond to safety or equipment concerns. The position also involves maintaining the attraction area, communicating with drivers, and completing additional tasks assigned by management.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Reliable and punctual.
Able to maintain a positive, outgoing, can-do attitude.
Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to adjust to changing needs.
Able to stand for 4–10 hours at a time.

Responsibilities

Maintain a thorough understanding of the course and its safety requirements.
Greet guests professionally and ensure they are properly harnessed, dressed in appropriate clothing and footwear, and informed about course rules.
Explain ride elements, supervise participation, and encourage guests as needed.
Ensure the appropriate number of guests are on the course and verify that children meet height and age requirements.
Assist guests safely as they enter and exit the attraction.
Inspect harnesses, safety restraints, and equipment before each ride session; monitor for wear and tear and report concerns.
Follow safety requirements and use equipment and materials as trained.
Control racing events from the central control station, including operating computer systems.
Enforce ride rules and regulations before, during, and after operation.
Stop vehicles and de-board passengers during emergencies, and shut down races when major repairs are needed.
Keep the attraction area clean and free of debris.
Oversee an assigned portion of the track and communicate with drivers using established signals, such as flags and signs.
Ensure drivers safely enter and exit karts and assist during lapping sessions.
Provide guest service aligned with the company's core values.
Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Complete additional tasks assigned by management.
