About The Position

The Retail Merchandising Coordinator executes receiving and merchandising standards, helping Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience through customer engagement and by maintaining a clean, organized store, while modeling exceptional customer service. The Coordinator helps manage truck deliveries and prioritize merchandise processing onto the sales floor, trains and mentors Associates, monitors team productivity, and works with the Coordinator on Duty and management to keep goods moving efficiently. The role also maintains merchandising, signage, backroom organization, cleanliness, recovery, safety, and compliance standards. Additional responsibilities include supporting store shrink reduction, credit and loyalty programs, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements

1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan, prioritizing as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates about priorities and provide progress updates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
