About The Position

The Store Cleaner is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized store environment, with a focus on floor care. The role includes operating floor-cleaning equipment and cleaning floors, surfaces, glass, and windows, as well as maintaining cleanliness and recovery standards throughout the store. The associate follows health and safety, operational, merchandise, and loss-prevention policies and supports customer experience and store operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the floor scrubber and buffer, and perform dust mopping, damp mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, and spot cleaning of glass and windows.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and recovery standards across the Sales Floor, Single Queue, Associate Lounge, Backroom, and Restrooms.
• Refill essential items in the Lounge, Restrooms, and Front End in accordance with health and safety policies.
• Cross-train and work in other store areas, including the Backroom, Front End, and Sales Floor, to support business needs.
• Respond to Front End coverage needs.
• Follow operational, merchandise, signage, and loss-prevention standards, including shrink-reduction policies.
• Role-model customer experience practices with internal and external customers and support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
• Follow labor laws and company policies and procedures, including meal and break period policies.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
