About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health and wellness services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, handling transactions, maintaining store merchandise and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. This is a part-time position with 20 anticipated weekly hours and an overnight designation in the job title.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties accurately, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.
