About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s purpose of helping people on their path to better health. The role provides customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store operations, and helps keep departments stocked and operational. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel and work pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise. This position requires overnight availability from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. every day of the week, including every weekend; shift times are not flexible.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and negligible force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.
• Availability to work 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Sunday, including every weekend; shift times are not flexible.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
