About The Position
This role is responsible for maintaining a high standard of store cleanliness and presentation, ensuring a positive shopping environment for customers. The associate will deliver friendly customer service, assist customers in finding products, and perform various cleaning and maintenance tasks. Additionally, the role may involve customer checkout, promoting loyalty programs, assisting with online order fulfillment, participating in stocking and inventory processes, and supporting safety and loss prevention initiatives. Adherence to company policies and procedures is essential.
Requirements
- Ability to remain standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to move throughout the store.
- Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching and stretching.
- Lifting heavy boxes and accessing high shelves by ladder or similar equipment.
- Use of standard commercial cleaners and chemicals.
- Must be at least sixteen (16) years or older.
- Applicants in Canada must satisfy federal, provincial, and local legal requirements of the job.

- Retail and/or cleaning experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain store cleanliness and recovery standards.
- Deliver friendly customer service and assist customers.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Dust and damp mop floors.
- Move equipment and products for cleaning and proper placement.
- Clean assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment.
- Mix cleaning solutions.
- Deep clean key areas of the store (bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, high traffic areas).
- Maintain cleaning equipment and notify supervisor of supply needs.
- Seek out and complete cleaning tasks proactively.
- Complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
- Perform tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.
- Maintain positive and respectful interactions with team members and customers.
- Project a positive image and serve as a role model.
- Provide a fast and friendly check out experience and execute cash handling.
- Engage customers on benefits of Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
- Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS, SFS).
- Participate in truck un-load, stocking, and planogram processes.
- Support shrink and safety programs.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company programs.
