About The Position

Gordon Food Service Store, the retail division of Gordon Food Service, is hiring a part-time Store Associate at its Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania location. The role offers the fast pace of retail in a setting intended to support work-life balance and development. Store Associates help create a “Customer is King” environment and provide customer service to the store’s customers, including food service operators, families, nonprofit organizations, and caterers. Duties can vary from day to day and may include stocking, cashiering, and food preparation. Store hours are Monday through Saturday, 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The stores are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s Day, and Easter.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to provide superior customer service.
• Able to multitask.
• Able to work independently or within a team.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able and willing to perform all store functions, including stocking, cashiering, and food preparation.
