About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role provides an opportunity to contribute to customers’ health care experiences by delivering service, maintaining store areas, and supporting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed.

This is a part-time position with an anticipated 24 hours per week. The required availability is 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday, with every weekend required. All shifts are described as flexible. Bilingual English and Spanish skills are preferred.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.
• Availability to work 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Sunday; every weekend is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• Bilingual English and Spanish skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Provide differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, showing compassion and care, and identifying and resolving potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Perform cashier duties, including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support the company’s purpose.
