About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role provides friendly, compassionate service, helps customers locate products, and works to identify and resolve service issues. Associates perform cashier duties, maintain the sales floor and inventory, assist with opening and closing activities, and support departments including photo and beauty. They may also assist pharmacy personnel and work regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth. Associates promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health needs.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for activities such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately process cash, check, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure they are stocked and operational while staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
