About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, helping customers and supporting their healthcare needs. The role includes providing attentive service, handling sales transactions, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting across departments. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including by working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
