About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, completing cashier duties, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. This is a part-time position with anticipated hours of 29 per week.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal and reading, and for visual inspection involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
