About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s services. The role provides customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains the sales floor and inventory, supports store opening and closing activities, and helps keep departments such as photo and beauty stocked and operational. Associates may also assist pharmacy personnel, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy, as opportunities for growth and career development.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal and perform reading and visual inspection involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are fully stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Promote and advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
