About The Position

Retail Store Associates contribute to a customer-focused retail environment at CVS Health, helping customers and supporting store operations. The role involves working independently and as part of a team to provide helpful, compassionate service and support customers’ health and shopping needs.

Associates may assist across store departments, including photo and beauty, and may assist pharmacy personnel or work regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise. The position is part-time, with anticipated weekly hours of 20. All shifts are flexible, but the listed schedule availability is required and includes every weekend.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds frequently, and to regularly exert negligible force to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.
• Availability to meet the listed shift schedule requirements, including every weekend.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate additional items as needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
