About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and help meet their health and shopping needs. The role provides differentiated customer service, performs cashier duties, maintains sales-floor inventory and presentation, and supports store activities and departments including photo and beauty. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel and work shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise. The position is part-time, with anticipated weekly hours of 20 and flexible shifts scheduled across the listed availability, including every weekend.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, demonstrate compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities as needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping keep them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
