Part Time Store Associate
About The Position
The Part Time Store Associate supports and maintains the integrity of the Vera Bradley experience through exceptional customer service, upholding store image standards, maximizing sales, and assisting with store operations. The role engages guests through product awareness and team selling, helps drive store results through add-on selling and conversion, and maintains brand standards and an inviting, organized store environment. The associate processes sales transactions using a POS system and complies with established company policies and procedures. This role requires a polite, professional, adaptable team player with strong sales and communication skills, and availability for a flexible schedule that includes nights and weekends. Work involves frequent customer interaction and store upkeep, along with physical activity and exposure to a variety of scented products. The position is incentive eligible based on company and store metrics. Requirements
- High school graduate preferred.
- Prior retail experience strongly preferred.
- Polite and professional demeanor.
- Exceptional sales skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Strong team player.
- Able to walk and stand constantly, and bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
- Able to work around strong fragrances and scented products throughout the workday.
- Strong sensory skills, including good eyesight and hearing, and dexterity.
- Consistently able to lift 10–35 pounds; occasionally lift up to 55 pounds; and push or pull more than 55 pounds.

- Experience with a retail POS system is a plus.
