About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ shopping and healthcare-related needs. The role includes delivering attentive service, operating the register, maintaining store inventory and sales-floor standards, supporting store operations, and assisting across departments, including pharmacy when needed. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to use a computer terminal and read or inspect small parts and details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit-card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide customer support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help keep departments stocked and operational.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
