About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and contribute to CVS Health’s goal of improving health care experiences. The role involves providing helpful, compassionate service; performing cashier and sales-floor duties; supporting store operations and other departments; and promoting CVS services and loyalty programs. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel and work shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.

Requirements

At least 16 years of age.
Able to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
Able to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, read, and visually inspect small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing information, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
