About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s healthcare services. The role includes providing attentive customer service, completing cashier duties, maintaining store merchandise and inventory, supporting store operations, and assisting other departments, including the pharmacy when needed. Associates may also work regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
