About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s services. The role involves providing helpful, compassionate customer service; completing cashier duties; maintaining store inventory and sales-floor presentation; supporting store opening and closing; and assisting other departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. The position is part-time, with 20 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently, and to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit-card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Provide support to all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure departments are stocked and operational while staying current on services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs.
