Store Associate (Part Time) - Astoria, NY
About The Position
Store Associates provide customers with Lidl’s shopping experience. The role covers a range of store operations, including stocking, cashiering, cleaning, bakery operations, produce tasks, non-food merchandising, and weekly promotional setup. Successful associates work well in a fast-paced environment, adapt to changing ways of doing business, communicate openly, and focus on providing high-quality, low-price, hassle-free shopping. This is a part-time position in Astoria, New York. Associates work across the store to serve customers, keep store areas clean and organized, and complete operational tasks with management and colleagues. The role requires flexibility to work early shifts starting at 5 a.m. or late shifts ending at 11 p.m., including weekends.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to lift, move, carry, or slide products weighing over 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach above the head to heights greater than 10 inches.
- Flexibility to start an early shift at 5 a.m. or finish a late shift at 11 p.m., including weekends.
- Positive attitude when priorities change.
- Friendly communication style with team members and customers.
- Willingness to work hard in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Unpack stock as deliveries arrive while maintaining a quick pace.
- Provide excellent customer service at registers and throughout the store, including answering questions and helping customers locate items.
- Keep the store clean and organized throughout the shift, including the parking lot, sales floor, breakroom, and warehouse.
- Learn and complete tasks in the bakery and produce area, and assist with weekly promotional setup.
- Communicate clearly with management and colleagues and work as a team player to complete tasks as needed.
