About The Position

The Store Associate supports Chattanooga Goodwill’s mission, vision, and values while performing general duties in the sales floor and production areas. The role includes providing customer and donor service, moving product to the retail floor, assisting with truck and trailer loading and unloading, and maintaining clean, organized, and safe work areas. Associates may be cross-trained in all work areas and are expected to follow training, work instructions, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support Chattanooga Goodwill’s mission, vision, values, and organizational guiding principles through actions and decisions.
• Maintain the confidentiality of the agency, employees, and participants.
• Maintain punctual and dependable attendance.
• Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors and refer complaints to management.
• Perform work tasks according to training, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Transition product to the retail sales floor effectively, with attention to detail and urgency.
• Follow Goodwill policies and procedures.
• Help ensure the security of company assets and donations.
• Perform general sales floor and production area duties and cross-train in all work areas.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and customers.
• Promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
• Assist with loading and unloading Goodwill trucks and trailers.
• Keep production work areas and the retail sales floor neat, clean, and organized.
• Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
• Attend and complete required training and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
