About The Position

B Turners is hiring a part-time Retail Store Associate to provide excellent customer service and support daily store operations. Associates greet customers, answer questions, help locate merchandise, and maintain knowledge of store products, promotions, and advertising. The role includes operating the cash register, processing and replenishing merchandise, maintaining displays and fitting rooms, and keeping store areas clean and orderly. This is described as a great entry-level position where associates can develop listening, conflict resolution, adaptability, time management, and attention-to-detail skills while working as part of a team. The position requires a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and punctual attendance for the entire assigned shift. Physical tasks include standing for extended periods, walking throughout the store, lifting up to 30 pounds, maneuvering heavier boxes with hand trucks, squatting, bending, reaching, and climbing a ladder. A background check and drug screening are required.

Visual acuity to read sales tags and operate a cash register.
Manual dexterity to operate a cash register, process merchandise, and maintain the sales floor.
Must pass a background check.
Must pass initial and periodic drug screens.

Responsibilities

Provide outstanding customer service; greet customers, answer questions, and help them locate merchandise.
Maintain knowledge of store products, in-store promotions, and advertising.
Straighten, restock, and arrange displays.
Keep register areas, departments, and other store areas clean and orderly.
Operate the cash register and accept payments accurately and efficiently.
Display merchandise to stimulate customer interest and encourage purchases.
Attend and maintain fitting rooms.
Price and process merchandise from stock areas to the sales floor, replenish merchandise, and request reorders to maintain adequate inventory.
Assist with floor moves, displays, and store recovery.
Communicate customer issues or requests to management.
Work the entire assigned shift as scheduled and arrive punctually.

Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.
