About The Position

The Store Associate supports Chattanooga Goodwill’s mission, vision, and values while carrying out sales-floor and production-area duties. The role includes serving customers and donors, moving products to the retail floor, maintaining clean and organized work areas, assisting with truck and trailer loading and unloading, and following organizational procedures and safety practices. Associates may be cross-trained in all work areas and are expected to communicate and cooperate effectively with coworkers and management.

Responsibilities

Support Chattanooga Goodwill’s mission, vision, values, and organizational guiding principles through words, actions, and decisions.
Maintain confidentiality of agency, employee, and participant information.
Maintain punctual and dependable attendance.
Provide excellent customer service to customers and donors, and refer complaints to management.
Perform work tasks according to training, e-learning, and work instructions.
Transition products to the retail sales floor effectively, with attention to detail and urgency.
Follow Goodwill policies and procedures.
Protect company assets and donations.
Perform general sales-floor and production-area duties and cross-train in all work areas.
Communicate effectively with management, peers, and customers.
Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
Assist with loading and unloading Goodwill trucks and trailers.
Keep production work areas and retail sales floors neat, clean, and organized.
Follow safety and security practices and report hazards and injuries to management.
Attend and complete required training and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
