Full-Time Store Associate

About The Position

The Store Associate is responsible for merchandising and stocking products, cashiering, cleaning, and supporting an excellent customer shopping experience through teamwork and exceptional customer service. This is a full-time position averaging 30 or more hours per week, with a starting wage of $20.50 per hour and scheduled wage increases through Year 5.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Provide prompt and courteous customer service.
Operate store equipment, including cash registers, floor scrubbers, cardboard balers, pallet jacks, handheld devices, and computers.
Interpret and apply operating policies and procedures.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Perform basic arithmetic, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
Work independently and with others.
Organize, prioritize, and complete assigned tasks within established timeframes.
Maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
Meet availability requirements.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent.
Prior work experience in a retail environment.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service and escalate concerns to store management as necessary.
Inform store management of losses from outdated or damaged products.
Use the point-of-sale system to scan and process purchases accurately and report scanning concerns or errors.
Follow cash policies and procedures.
Follow checkout line policies and open additional lanes when needed.
Stock shelves and displays neatly according to merchandising planograms.
Complete curbside pickup orders by retrieving and verifying items and delivering them to customers’ vehicles in a timely manner.
Maintain zone and merchandising standards.
Assist store management with operational efficiency and total loss goals.
Comply with company policies and processes.
Help maintain a safe working environment by identifying and correcting hazards, using proper ergonomics, and keeping equipment in proper working order.
Follow inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.
Perform general cleaning tasks to company standards.
