About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health care services. The role includes cashiering, maintaining the sales floor and inventory, supporting store opening and closing activities, and assisting departments such as photo, beauty, and pharmacy. Associates also promote CVS services and loyalty programs. The position is part-time, with 28 scheduled hours per week and required availability Thursday through Sunday from 4 PM to 11 PM. Weekend work is required, and shift times are not flexible.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally and up to 10 lbs frequently; regularly exert a negligible amount of force to move objects, including overhead lifting.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.
• Availability Thursday through Sunday, 4 PM to 11 PM; every weekend is required, and shift times are not flexible.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and differentiated service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Maintain the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, and completing inventory tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, by helping ensure they are stocked and operational and staying current with services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers’ health.
