About The Position

The Retail Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers and store operations. The role contributes to CVS Health’s goal of providing a connected, convenient, and compassionate health experience. Associates deliver attentive customer service, complete cashier duties, maintain the sales floor, support store opening and closing when needed, and assist across departments, including photo, beauty, and pharmacy. The position is part-time, with 29 anticipated weekly hours.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Ability to remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount of force regularly, including overhead lifting.
• Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal and perform visual inspections involving small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide differentiated service with compassion and care, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and offer help locating items.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, and help ensure they are stocked and operational while staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as opportunities arise.
• Advocate for CVS services and loyalty programs.
