About The Position

The Store Associate works in a customer-focused retail setting, both independently and as part of a team, to support customers and CVS Health’s health care services. The role involves providing compassionate, attentive service; completing cashier and sales-floor duties; supporting store operations; and helping keep departments stocked and operational. Associates may assist pharmacy personnel, including by working regular pharmacy shifts as opportunities arise for growth and career development.

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age.
• Able to remain upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods.
• Able to lift and exert up to 35 lbs of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently, and a negligible amount regularly, including moving objects overhead.
• Close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card transactions while following company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all departments, including photo and beauty, keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as part of growth and career-development opportunities.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
