Store Associate (Part Time) - Pelham, NY
About The Position
Store Associates help provide customers with Lidl’s high-quality, low-price, and hassle-free shopping experience. The role involves a range of store operations rather than only stocking or cashiering, including stocking, cleaning, bakery operations, and non-food merchandising. Successful associates work well in a fast-paced environment, adapt to different ways of doing business, communicate openly, and welcome feedback as part of professional development. The position requires flexibility to start as early as 5 a.m. or finish as late as 11 p.m., including weekends. The listed starting pay is $20.50 per hour, with potential to earn $25.00 in the future.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Ability to lift, move, carry, or slide products weighing over 50 pounds.
- Ability to reach above the head to heights greater than 10 inches.
- Flexibility to start an early shift at 5 a.m. or finish a late shift at 11 p.m., including weekends.
- Positive attitude when priorities change.
- Friendly communication style with team members and customers.
- Drive to work hard in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Unpack stock as deliveries arrive while maintaining a quick pace.
- Provide excellent customer service at registers and throughout the store, including answering questions and helping customers locate items.
- Keep the store clean and organized throughout the shift, including the parking lot, sales floor, breakroom, and warehouse.
- Learn and complete tasks in the bakery, produce area, and weekly promotional setup.
- Communicate clearly with management and colleagues and work as a team player to complete tasks as needed.
