About The Position

Retail Store Associates work in a customer-focused retail setting, independently and as part of a team, to support customers’ needs and CVS Health’s healthcare mission. They provide welcoming, compassionate service; handle transactions; maintain the sales floor and inventory; support store operations and departments such as photo and beauty; and may assist pharmacy personnel, including through regular pharmacy shifts. The position offers opportunities for growth and career development.

Requirements

• Be at least 16 years of age.
• Remain upright on the feet for sustained periods.
• Occasionally lift or exert up to 35 pounds, frequently up to 10 pounds, and regularly a negligible amount of force, including overhead lifting and moving objects.
• Have close visual acuity for tasks such as viewing a computer terminal, reading, and visually inspecting small parts or details.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate customer needs, provide compassionate and attentive service, and identify and resolve potential service issues.
• Greet customers warmly, maintain eye contact, and help customers locate items when needed.
• Accurately handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Restock shelves, check in vendors, update pricing information, and complete inventory management tasks as directed by the store manager.
• Support store opening and closing activities when needed.
• Support all store departments, including photo and beauty, by keeping them stocked and operational and staying current with updated services and tools.
• Assist pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular pharmacy shifts as an opportunity for growth and career development.
• Promote CVS services and loyalty programs that support customers on their path to better health.
