About The Position

Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Assistant Deli Manager. The role assists the Deli Manager and/or Store Manager with supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures. It supports planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up related to controllable expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls.

The Store Assistant Deli Manager sets a professional example for coworkers and supports customer service and store operations. The role assists with deli management decisions, staff development, and new employee training and orientation. It also serves customers, prepares deli items and heated foods, orders and maintains deli merchandise, and upholds food-preparation and sanitation standards.

The position prioritizes, organizes, delegates, and follows up on shift tasks; helps protect store assets; controls inventory costs; and maintains the store, including basic deli-equipment repairs. The employee also assists clerks and managers as needed and performs other duties assigned by supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Deli Manager and/or Store Manager with supervisory decisions consistent with company standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up related to controllable expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls.
• Set a professional example for coworkers in attitude, teamwork, customer service, and store operations.
• Assist the Deli Manager with deli-operation management decisions, department staff development, and new employee training and orientation.
• Provide customer service to the public.
• Prepare deli items and cook heated items.
• Order and maintain deli merchandise.
• Maintain quality standards in food preparation and sanitation procedures.
• Prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on shift tasks.
• Help ensure the security of store assets and control inventory costs.
• Maintain the store, including performing basic repairs of deli equipment.
• Assist clerks and managers as needed and perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
