About The Position
Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Assistant Deli Manager. The role assists the Deli Manager and/or Store Manager with supervisory decisions in accordance with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures. It supports planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up related to controllable expenses, sales, food costs, and shortage controls. The Store Assistant Deli Manager sets a professional example for coworkers and supports customer service and store operations. The position assists with deli management decisions, staff development, and new-employee training and orientation. It also provides customer service, prepares deli and heated food items, orders and maintains merchandise, and upholds food-quality and sanitation standards. The position prioritizes, organizes, delegates, and follows up on shift tasks; safeguards store assets; controls inventory costs; and helps maintain the store, including basic deli equipment repairs. It also assists clerks and managers as needed and performs other duties assigned by supervisors.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Deli Manager and/or Store Manager with supervisory decisions consistent with Town Pump standards, policies, and procedures.
- Assist with planning, leadership, organization, and follow-up concerning controllable expenses, sales increases, food costs, and shortage controls.
- Set a professional example for coworkers in attitude, teamwork, customer service, and store operations.
- Assist the Deli Manager with management decisions for deli operations, department staff development, and new-employee training and orientation.
- Interact with the public and provide exceptional customer service.
- Prepare deli items and cook heated items.
- Order and maintain deli merchandise.
- Maintain high standards for food preparation quality and sanitation.
- Prioritize, organize, delegate, and follow up on shift tasks.
- Be responsible for the security of store assets and control of inventory costs.
- Maintain the store, including basic repairs of deli equipment.
- Assist clerks and managers as needed and perform other duties assigned by supervisors.
