About The Position

Super 1 Foods is a family-owned and operated business founded in 1985, with 16 stores in Idaho and Montana. The Deli Assistant Manager helps manage the deli department and its inventory, pricing, merchandising, labor, and safety practices. The role involves ordering products and supplies, scheduling work to maximize sales and gross profit, and ensuring employees are trained and supervised in department procedures. The manager also performs other store tasks and maintains strict sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage department inventory, pricing, and merchandising.
• Manage labor and ensure safety rules are followed.
• Order products and supplies.
• Schedule work to maximize sales and gross profit.
• Ensure new department employees receive proper training and safety instruction on all Deli-Bakery equipment.
• Supervise correct ordering, receiving, unloading, storage, and rotation of merchandise, as well as display building.
• Perform a variety of other tasks in the store.
• Ensure all employees meet safety standards for operation.
• Adhere to strict sanitation, food safety, and personal hygiene standards.
