Job Summary Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain natural gas storage reservoir systems and compressor station and processing equipment which provide safe, efficient, and dependable sources of gas for the distribution system. Provide technical expertise and training in the operation of the storage facility for other department employees. Essential Functions Safely operate, maintain, and inspect natural gas storage field conditioning equipment (compressors, dehydrators, sulfur removal facilities, etc.), transmission piping, and gas wells. Preserve facility integrity, ensure regulatory compliance, and meet the needs of our customers. Regularly required to sit, stand, climb stairs and ladders, balance themselves, work at heights, walk on uneven surfaces, work on noisy/ dirty/ greasy equipment, and work on pipelines and gas wells in farm fields. Be exposed to hot equipment, environmental temperature extremes and possible gaseous environments. Their work may require employees to enter confined spaces and wear a respirator or a self-contained breathing apparatus. The employees will be required to operate motor-driven equipment: e.g., truck, tractor, power tools, etc. The employee is occasionally required to lift to 70 pounds. Shift work, as well as weekend work may be required. The employee may be required to travel to remote field locations with overnight stays.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Requires a valid Driver’s License - CDL-A will be required within 60 days of employment.
  • Required to work safely outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.
  • Work overtime and serve on a rotational scheduled on call.
  • Must reside within 35 miles of headquarters location – Dolan Station Storage Field.
  • Perform work that includes standing, walking, climbing ladders and stairs, balancing, and working at heights.
  • Work on uneven terrain, including farm fields, well sites, and industrial facilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 70 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Operate motor‑driven equipment such as company vehicles, tractors, and power tools.
  • Enter confined spaces and wear required respiratory protection, including respirators or self‑contained breathing apparatus, as necessary.
  • Work around hot equipment, moving machinery, and pressurized systems.
  • Required to always wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Position is safety‑sensitive and subject to applicable company policies and regulatory requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • A valid state issued Commercial Driver’s License – Class A, is preferred.
  • Familiar with basic computer programs (Word, Excel, Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge or understanding of PLCs is preferred.
  • Utility industry experience preferred.
  • Well maintenance experience preferred.
