Requirements

Participate in our employer sponsored DOL electrical apprenticeship through SEMCA.
Mechanically inclined with common hand tools (tape measure, power drills, levels, screwdrivers, etc.).
Electrical experience in the residential or commercial setting is a plus, but not necessary.
Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
Proper handling and securing of material/equipment
Knowledge of materials in the electrical field
Arc flash training
Ability to take direction
Valid driver's license
Basic Math & Geometry skills

Use & recognize rigging hardware including hooks, shackles, wire rope clips, clamps, eye bolts, softeners and tag lines
Identifies common load configurations & positioning
Rigger 1 training – trains on above

Responsibilities

Aid the Electrical Foreman on the completion of industrial electrical projects
Bend conduit, pull wire, and utilize standard electrical testing equipment
Take continuous direction from Electrical Foreman
Learn to use common hand tools and apply basic math for the electrical department
Support other apprentices, journeyman, and foremen on various projects.
Follow instructions from foremen and supervisors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Keep the job site clean and well-organized.
Handle the loading and unloading of materials, tools, and equipment.
Ensure attention to detail and follow safety standards
Fuel and wash department vehicles
