About The Position

The Apprentice Electrician, under the direction of the Licensed Electrician, is responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of commercial electrical equipment and systems. This position will be responsible for following the directions of the Journeyman Electrician to complete electrical maintenance and repair work. Requirements

  • 2-4 years of electrical apprenticeship preferred.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of electrical codes.
  • Possessing the ability to understand schematics and technical manuals
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • If driving is required, valid driver license and proof of insurability are required. All drivers are subject to a DMV background records search.
  • This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Electrician with basic tasks.
  • Complete Maintenance work orders on electrical equipment. Testing malfunctioning equipment, identifying defects, troubleshooting, repairing equipment and replacing defective parts.
  • Collaborate with other electrical staff to identify and resolve problems.
  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
  • Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
