About The Position

This role is responsible for operating forklifts and reach-lifts for material movement within the warehouse, including receiving, staging, put-away, and replenishment. Additionally, manual movement of product is required as needed. The position also involves using a Radio Frequency terminal for inventory control and performing routine maintenance on forklift equipment. Safety in material movement and for personnel is a key aspect of this role.

Requirements

• Must be certified in forklift operations.
• Regularly lift 10 to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, and reach with hands or arms.
• Occasionally walk and talk or hear.
• Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Responsibilities

• Operating appropriate Forklift/Reach-lift (powered industrial truck) material movement, including receiving, staging, put away, replenishment of products, and other material moves.
• Manually moving product as needed.
• Movement of all materials in the warehouse through operation of assigned equipment.
• Using Radio Frequency terminal to record the movement of materials for inventory control purposes in accordance with the Radio Frequency Program guidelines for Put-a-ways, Moves, replenishment, and operations.
• Routine maintenance on forklift equipment, i.e., changing lift batteries.
• Safe movement of product, safety of pedestrian employees and company/warehouse property.
• Reporting to work on time, as directed by the Warehouse Shift Supervisor, and completing all duties in a timely manner.
• Performing duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information effectively and communicating the information as needed effectively.
• Subject to cross-training into jobs within the organization based on Company needs.
