About The Position

Responsible for selecting or quality checking product from an assigned area according to the pick slip. Additional duties, which are necessary to carry out the function of the freezer, may be assigned and are incorporated by reference into this job description.

Requirements

• Must read the nomenclature and unit of measure of the product requested and confirm that data with the product in the bin location.
• Must frequently walk.
• Must regularly lift 10 pounds and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Must have close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
• Must regularly work near moving mechanical parts.
• Must work in outdoor weather conditions.
• Must occasionally work in wet humid conditions.
• Must report to work on time.
• Must complete duties in a timely manner.
• Must be able to perform duties in a cooperative, capable manner.
• Must be able to process information effectively.
• Must be able to communicate information effectively as needed.
• Must be subject to cross-training into jobs within the organization based on Company needs.

Nice To Haves

• Selectors working in the freezer are provided with suits, gloves and face or head gear.

Responsibilities

• Accurately selecting product from a pre-assigned location according to the pick slips; must read the nomenclature and unit of measure of the product requested and confirm that data with the product in the bin location.
• Properly packing product in each container as indicated by the cubing function in the sequence of pick-slips.
• Following proper guidelines to ensure that there is no damage to product during loading or shipping.
• Marking load number on particular boxes.
• Noting when product is available on pick-slip and further noting when the product is unavailable.
• Reporting to work on time, as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor for each shift, and completing duties in a timely manner.
• Performing duties in a cooperative, capable manner, processing the information effectively and communicating the information as needed effectively.
• All personnel within this job description shall be subject to cross-training into jobs within the organization based on Company needs.
