About The Position
The Stocker reports to the Replenishment Supervisor and is accountable for replenishment and upholding the quality and standards of goods in the store. The role is responsible for the flow of merchandise from delivery to the sales floor or another internal destination, including unpacking, processing, organizing, and storing merchandise. The Stocker ensures products are accessible, visually appealing, and available to customers. The position is based at the GHRA Warehouse and Distribution Center in Houston, Texas. It is full-time, with a Monday–Friday shift, and pays $14.00 per hour. The responsibilities listed describe the principal functions of the role and are not exhaustive; responsibilities may change.
Requirements
- One year of experience working with scanners and in a large distribution company.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage time effectively, meet targets, and work in a team.
- Compliance with food and safety regulations.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to walk and stand for eight continuous hours, including on concrete or tile surfaces.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, crouch, reach, balance, push, and pull while replenishing products.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the brand image of products and the store and positively impact the customer experience.
- Ensure items are stocked and the area is ready for customers to shop.
- Keep the warehouse clean and safe for customers to shop.
- Sort grocery items and assign relevant labels and price tags.
- Stack goods in an organized manner on store shelves.
- Replenish products in a timely manner.
- Rotate products and maintain product quality.
- Ensure perishable goods are stored at the appropriate temperature.
- Conduct regular inventory counts.
- Prominently display promotional offers.
- Report damages and discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Coordinate work functions with the sales team and other departments.
- Front and face products.
