About The Position

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Remote Project Manager to support the STINGRAI program. The role calls for leadership, strategic thinking, and a strong understanding of defense-industry contract management practices. This requisition is intended to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for anticipated future openings; hiring decisions will be made as positions become available. The Project Manager plans and oversees project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, quality, performance, and contractual compliance. The role leads a diverse team and works with project teams, clients, stakeholders, and other partners to deliver results within defined constraints and applicable contract, industry, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

6 years of relevant progressive experience with a bachelor's degree in a related field; 4 years with a master's degree in a related field; or a high school diploma or equivalent and 10 years of relevant progressive experience.
Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role, preferably in the defense industry or government contracting.
Strong knowledge of defense-industry practices, regulations, and contractual requirements.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage clients, stakeholders, and team members at all levels.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with a focus on meeting project constraints.
Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills, including experience managing risks and making timely, informed judgments.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance.

Nice To Haves

Possess and maintain an active Secret or Top Secret clearance.
5+ years of experience managing Defense Aerospace, Airborne ISR, Maritime ISR, OSINT, Mission-Enabling Services, or Emergent Operations contracts.
3+ years of experience managing Cost Plus Award Fee (CPAF) contracts supporting the Department of Defense.
3+ years of experience managing contracts awarded or administered by GSA/FEDSIM.
3+ years of experience using Smartsheet and leveraging Office365 tools to communicate across geographically dispersed teams.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI or DAWIA Level III Program Management.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation in collaboration with project teams and key stakeholders.
Allocate and manage resources across multiple projects to optimize productivity and deliver results within defined constraints.
Identify and assess program and project risks and develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Monitor project budgets, track expenses, report to stakeholders, ensure adherence to financial guidelines, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Implement quality-control measures and ensure compliance with contract requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines.
Lead and motivate project managers, engineers, analysts, and other professionals, fostering a collaborative, high-performance environment.
Establish performance metrics and KPIs, track progress, and provide regular stakeholder updates.
Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, including reporting requirements, deliverables, and applicable regulations.
Identify improvement opportunities and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and operational performance.
Perform other duties as required.
