The Steward / Dishwasher at COTALAND plays a vital role in supporting our Food & Beverage operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. This position ensures sanitation standards are met so our culinary teams can deliver an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced theme park setting. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Obtain a Texas food handers certification.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
- Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
- Work in extreme environments indoors/outdoors throughout the year.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events.
Nice To Haves
- Previous kitchen, stewarding, or sanitation experience is preferred, but not required, training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, utensils, glassware, cookware, and kitchen equipment
- Operate commercial dishwashing machines and manual ware washing equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of all back-of-house areas including kitchens, prep areas, walk-ins, storage rooms, floors, walls, and drains
- Remove trash, recycling, and compost throughout shifts to maintain a safe work environment
- Communicate any equipment issues, supply shortages, or safety concerns to leadership
- Support daily opening, operating, and closing procedures
- Follow all health department regulations, food safety guidelines, and COTALAND policies
- Maintain awareness of safety in a high-energy, high-guest-volume environment
- Assist culinary teams with basic support tasks as needed
