About The Position

Responsible for the proper washing, racking, rinsing, and cleaning of dishes, glassware, cutlery and cookware. Serves employee meals in the EDR. Ensures eating/drinking utensils, salad bar and snacks are available.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid VI food handler’s card.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to discern difference between patterns of dishes and glassware.

Responsibilities

• Must sort all dishes, glassware, cutlery and cookware in proper racks after cleaning.
• Responsible for cleanliness of kitchen floor.
• Position responds to the Café and EDR staff regarding equipment needs to keep the work station clean and organized.
• Must be aware of the proper operation of all equipment and the proper use of the chemicals used to clean and sanitize eating and cooking utensils and the kitchen floor.
• Serves meals to employees.
• Preps for all outlets, snacks, salad bar, replenishes eating/drinking utensils.
• Removes trash from outlets.
• Must be able to run cash register as needed.
• Other tasks as assigned by Food & Beverage Supervisor or Manager.
