About The Position

The Steward / Dishwasher helps keep the kitchen clean, sanitary, and organized so culinary operations can run smoothly. The role involves cleaning and sanitizing kitchen wares and equipment, maintaining workstations and storage areas, handling supplies and chemicals responsibly, and communicating clearly with kitchen teammates. The position requires adherence to hotel, health department, sanitation, safety, and OSHA requirements, along with a cooperative attitude and ability to respond to feedback.

Requirements

A minimum of one year of experience as a Dishwasher.
Ability to read and write in English.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, according to department needs.

Responsibilities

Use the correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces in accordance with OSHA regulations and hotel requirements.
Set up and organize a workstation with designated supplies and equipment, report shortages to the supervisor, and replenish supplies as needed during the shift.
Handle wares carefully to prevent breakage and loss.
Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment according to departmental standards.
Maintain clean and organized supply and storage closets, including removing trash, wiping shelves and counters, cleaning floors, and returning misplaced items to the correct areas.
Report damages, maintenance problems, and safety hazards to the supervisor.
Follow all applicable Health Department, sanitation, and safety regulations.
Keep kitchens clean and sanitary according to Stanly Ranch standards.
Use equipment carefully and clean it properly after each use.
Communicate clearly in the kitchen, including announcing when walking behind someone or carrying something hot or dangerous.
Maintain a good attitude and behavior with leaders and peers, work well as a team player, and accept criticism.
Maintain the dish machine chemicals and report to the manager on duty when new products need to be ordered.
