About The Position

The Steward Dishwasher maintains cleanliness in kitchen areas and of service ware, preparation equipment, utensils, and waste. The role washes items used in the Food & Beverage Department, operates an automatic dishwasher, transports trash, and may assist cooks with food preparation and supervisors with company functions. The position requires a positive, professional approach, reliable attendance, and the ability to meet physical demands throughout an eight-hour shift. Commerce Casino operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This position works a variety of shifts, including graveyard and swing shifts, weekends, and holidays; schedules may vary with business needs. A $1 graveyard differential is offered in addition to the stated $19 per hour. Full-time scheduling may be required during tournaments and peak business periods, and overtime may be required with or without advance notice.

Requirements

Previous work experience is preferred but not necessary.
Ability to communicate in basic English.
Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines as set forth in individual job manuals.
Must have a food handler card or certification.
Ability to lift 50 pounds up to 20 times and push up to 100 pounds for job-related duties throughout an eight-hour shift.
Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift, excluding breaks and meal periods.
Must demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic approach to assignments.
Must be clean, well-groomed, and maintain a professional appearance according to company standards.
Attendance and punctuality are essential.
Must be able to work full-time during tournaments and other peak business periods.
Must be able to work overtime as business needs require, with or without advance notice.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, service ware, preparation equipment, utensils, and disposal waste.
Follow daily cleaning schedules.
Wash utensils, cups, glassware, dishes, and other items used in the Food & Beverage Department.
Operate an automatic dishwasher.
Empty and transport trash to central receptacles.
Assist cooks as needed with tasks such as slicing vegetables.
Assist supervisors with setting up and taking down company functions.
Perform other work-related duties as assigned by the Sous Chef.
